Shortie soaker made of naturally colored virgin wool fiber. This wool has natural oils that wick moisture, keeping it away from baby's bottom. Cloth diapering is economical, environmentally friendly, and reduces the occurrence of diaper rash.
Our custom crocheted soaker design offers short legs of soft cotton to catch the leaks where the underlying cloth diaper loosens with the baby's movement.
This is a quick-felting wool. Meaning, with moisture and friction, the fiber will thicken, enhancing it's performance.

Since wool is a natural fiber, it has inherent anti-microbial properties and can be simply aired out in between changes. Some people go 2-3 weeks in between washing. Care of soakers includes hand washing in cool water after soiling, followed by laying flat to dry. Frequent washing may result in the wool becoming felted and thicker, which only increases it's functionality.
No commercial patterns are used at Mumtaz Creations, and all items are carefully hand-stitched (usually while nursing our own babe). Soakers can be lanolized free of charge before shipping, just make a note when you check out.
